Large Vacation Home Designed for Gathering
The centerpiece of Sunset Ridge is a comfortable vacation home, offering plenty of room for group meals and shared time together.
The property also includes a Mini Log Cabin that sleeps up to 8 guests, along with 2 RV sites for travelers bringing their own setup.
This flexible layout makes Sunset Ridge a great option for group vacations, family reunions, and weekend gatherings where everyone can stay close while still having their own space.
Outdoor Spaces to Relax and Connect
Much of the fun at Sunset Ridge happens outside.
Guests can gather under the covered pavilion, which includes outdoor seating, restrooms, showers, and a grill for casual cookouts and evening meals. There’s also a sand volleyball court and open space for games, making it easy for everyone to enjoy time together and just breathe.
Evenings often end around the grill or under the stars after a full day of river fun, sunshine, and exploring the area.
Easy Access from I-44 & Route 66
One of the biggest advantages of Sunset Ridge is its convenient location near Interstate 44. Travelers coming from St. Louis or Kansas City can arrive quickly without winding through back roads, making this property especially popular for weekend getaways and group trips.
It’s location also places guests near several fun Route 66 stops, including Skippy’s Route 66 Restaurant, the colorful Cuba murals, Fanning Outpost & the World’s Largest Red Rocking Chair (or at least Crawford County’s), which celebrate the area’s heritage along this historic highway.
Float Trips and Outdoor Adventures Nearby
Guests often spend a day floating the Meramec River, Huzzah River, and/or Courtois River with nearby outfitters like Ozark Outdoors before returning to the property for a relaxing evening.
The area also offers excellent hiking, including portions of the Ozark Trail, along with the scenic exploration at Onondaga Cave State Park, known for its guided cave tours and riverside trails.
